About: What a rug; literally one of my favorite pieces that I've ever seen in my life. This piece is named after the vibrant and gorgeous sunsets of Miami. This is what antique rugs are all about. The design, the weave and quality, the wool, the artistic nature, the unique elements and characteristics, and of course, the colors used to create this gem. What more do you want in a rug? The amount of abrash is sensational, something that you couldn't make up in a dream. The balance between light, dark, and medium colors from the border, to the field and spandrels, to the medallion adding the layering effect - allowing your eyes to blissfully digest and enjoy the design - like eating your favorite dessert one small but savory bite at a time. The jagged saw-tooth design around the medallion adds a nice stylized aesthetic, and the iconic and timeless Mahi/Herati/water-garden design flows throughout the entire piece with the obvious and apparent fish motif (which you can see the eye and everything). We are lucky to see a beauty like this - I really hope you can see what I see. There is a real art to designing a piece like this in your head, having the wool dyed and then weaving something so mystical and pretty - bringing an interpretation of love to life.

This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available. Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.
