About: One of THE MOST MYSTICAL rugs we've ever had in our collection. Whoever ends up with this piece will truly have the joy of seeing pure antique village art every single day. Energy exudes from this piece and everyone in its presence notices it. Deep and moody blues, fantastic pinks, blush and watermelons, lovely greens, reds and rusts, antique beige, clay, sunflower yellows, and more. Mountain-inspired motifs, roots, vines, trees, growing throughout, subtle directional elements, geometric flowers growing, and branches intertwined making the design alone SO artistic. Animal motifs bless this rug with the charm and protection they bring as the symbolism is always so endearing. This is in my top 3 favorite pieces of all time, you will not regret this piece as it is one for rug collectors, rug enthusiasts, rug and art lovers alike! A character piece if we've EVER seen one.

We always recommend a high-quality custom cut pad for any and all rugs; these pads are made for hand-knotted rugs. They create a body and support the knots of the rug, as well as prevent it from slipping and sliding.

Did they weave it for personal use, commerce, to gift, or trade? Who was the second owner, and the third!? Sometimes the little motifs and symbols in rugs can help tell the story, but we will never truly know - there's something beautiful about that. Alas, our joy is to curate these incredible pieces that speak to us, and to pass them along to their new owners to be enjoyed and cherished for many years to come; both continuing to add to the story of the rug, and to the story of the new owners.
