About: Seriously this is a gem. The most piercing lake blue color as the canvas allows the other colors to pop. The duel medallion design is always pleasing to the eye, and that subtle but significant directional tree-like element in the middle of the rug suggests that this is indeed a prayer rug. The arrows pointing East, and the two medallions act as a mark for your body to be and the other for your head when you kneel and pray. There is arguably nothing more symbolic than a prayer rug because regardless of your beliefs, the intent of the prayer rug is where the beauty lies - it was their intention to speak to a higher power to better themselves, ask for peace, and often pray for others. Very selfless were the people who wove these mystical weavings. This rug came from the mountainous region of where Eastern Turkey meets the Rocky terrain of the Azerbaijan region. The animals woven inside this rug were to protect this rug from negative thoughts and actions, so from conception to reality, this rug was intended for all things that are positive and sacred. This is a beautiful piece that will hopefully bring a little bit of peace, optimism, and serenity to your space.

This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available. Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.
