About: One of the most beautiful runners I've ever seen in my life. Blacks, charcoal, pinks, blush tones, camel hues, sand, khaki, browns, very subtle teals and even abrash of deep grey/lavender. Wool pile on a wool foundation with a nice plush thickness and body. This rug is filled with spontaneous nomadic motifs all throughout. I tried to point a few out; you'll see animals as a sign of protection, you'll see a comb as a symbol of cleanliness and purity, you'll see a linear curvy line signifying running water, and you'll see the iconic duel fence design that protects the rug from negativity entering the rug and positivity staying with the rug. This piece is a remarkable rug from it's wide gallery runner size, a color combination I've never seen before, and a truly inspiring and soulful pattern that contains the epitome of folk-art rug weaving symbols and stories! Age-related wear with subtle patina but overall great pile.
One of a kind rug, no others available. Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade rugs, irregularities and wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.
Any questions about this rug? Don't hesitate to send me a message!
We ALWAYS recommend a high-quality custom cut pad for any and all rugs; these pads are made for rugs. Old hand-knotted rugs, although have obviously stood the test of time, still benefit from them. These pads create a body and support to the rug, as well as prevent it from slipping and sliding - well worth it! Feel free to message me if you have any questions!
