Name: 20 FEET LONG!! Gorgeous Antique Halvai Bidjar with Growing Vine Border & Iconic Water Garden Pattern

Size:  4 x 20.3

Age:  Antique, C. 1920's

Pile: Fantastic age-related condition with patina, wear, and lovely character! This piece has been cut and re-woven/restored in 2 spots or so (see pics), nothing crazy at all and the piece itself is wonderfully solid and these little hiccups aren't a big deal when you're looking at a staggering one-of-one piece like this!! This piece has a subtle bow to it because the very wooden loom it was woven on 100 years ago probably wasn't straight - we wouldn't have it any other way!! 

About: RARE piece in one of the most BEAUTIFUL borders I've ever seen! Tons of abrash, and lots of movement in the border with the iconic Water Garden design inside. Shifting blues, lots of greens, saffrons, rust, madder root, and even aubergine! Do you need a crazy size for a stunning space? HERE IT IS! Pure organic wool foundation on Hadnspun organic wool pile - doesn't get more nomadic than this hailing from my #1 favorite rug-weaving village on the face of the planet!! 

This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one in the world, no others are available.

Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces -  irregularities, ancient old repairs/touch-ups, and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.
