Have you ever seen such a sophisticated and refined color palette with rich earthy hues, muted touches of warmth with nice mellow soft blues against deeper rich blues??  Not to mention, this multi-scaled palmette design with jagged leaves striking through from top to bottom like decorative lighting bolts flashing from the clouds all the way to Earth's soil 🙌🏽 But wait, shall we talk about the border?! Delicate Weeping Willow motifs blooming throughout the entire perimeter of the rug in a gorgeous watermelon meets coral-blush tone energizing the rug a bit and balancing out all of the moody hues throughout.  I've never seen such a stunning all-over Mahal design and the colors that fill each knot are truly, truly out of this GALAXY!

Like anything old and unique, they are filled with character, soul, and story. The story of a rug is something we think about a lot; who was the weaver(s)? Did they weave it for personal use, commerce, to gift, or trade? Who was the second owner, and the third!? Sometimes the little motifs and symbols in rugs can help tell the story, but we will never truly know - there's something beautiful about that.
