Pile: Low with age-related wear and lovely patina throughout. This piece I've had restored in a couple of spots, see pics. I loved it so much I just had to get it buttoned up!! If you don't like restored or repaired antique rugs and want a mint condition piece, that's totally fine; but if you're ok with the wear, story, patina, and character - then this might just have to be yours!

Did they weave it for personal use, commerce, gift, or trade? Who was the second owner, and the third!? Sometimes the little motifs and symbols in rugs can help tell the story, but we will never truly know - there's something beautiful about that.
