This village is known for a few things, one of them being their illustrious Quality Wool Pile, not only to the touch, but also how it drinks up natural vegetable dyes - which you can see from these photos. This piece is currently being expertly restored and will be available in Fall of 2025.

About: THE SIZE ALONE sets this into another dimension, but then the fact that it's my personal favorite rug weaving village on the planet, with the most Gorgeous Nomadic border, unreal crisp natural dyes, and of course a decorative and Artistic Butterfly-Diamond Motifs woven throughout with Blooming Botanicals woven inside and around... I could write a book on this piece. The Indigo/Navy Outer perimeter has so much of life left, typically these pieces have about half that width because of damage and the rugs have been tailored for a clean look, but this is in astonishing preserved condition. Every Color your heart could dream of, incredibly decorative for a designer, or may appeal to one who has a very good eye with an Old-World taste- yet somehow the versatility of this piece fits into a cottage, mountain home, a contemporary space with clean lines, Commercial lobby or Hotel lobby, of course it living around woods, leathers, books, windows, nature, water, plants, mountains, etc then it would feel right at home. You can place this piece as the last item in the room, or quite literally build an entire space around it. It is both thee Anchor and the Elevator. It is the The Ground floor and the Escalator. The Elephant in the room - striking, unforgettable, remarkably present and conversation-worthy; yet also the quiet omni-present energy or aura of peace, depth, and understated and softly spoken power.  We will NEVER see anything like this again, and I promise you that haven't even scratched the surface. Once it's back, I will take close up details oof the colors, the techniques used to achieve the duel-colored wool aesthetics in some motifs, and the next level abrash of natural dye lots that arrests your eyes as you scan the piece. World Class Carpet right here, showing the epitome of the Splendor of Antique Carpets and why this art remains the World's Most fascinating Art-form.

My invitation; if you purchase this, of course I can ship it to you. Or, I can fly out and personally install the rug pad  - not because I need to, but because I would like to meet the owner of this piece in person and give you a hug! 😅💙🙌🏽✨

This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available.

Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.

Any questions about this rug? Don't hesitate to reach out!

We always recommend a high-quality custom cut pad for any and all rugs; these pads are made for hand-knotted rugs. They create a body and support the knots of the rug, as well as prevent it from slipping and sliding.

A note from us to you: Buying a rug is special; it's not just you finding the rug, but also the rug finding you. Think about the many coincidences that have to occur for you to find the rug of your dreams. Our rugs are woven by nomads in the villages and remote mountainous regions of the major rug weaving districts across the world. All of our rugs are genuinely old and one-of-a-kind. Like anything old and unique, they are filled with character, soul, and story. The story of a rug is something we think about a lot; who was the weaver(s)? Did they weave it for personal use, commerce, to gift, or trade? Who was the second owner, and the third!? Sometimes the little motifs and symbols in rugs can help tell the story, but we will never truly know - there's something beautiful about that. Alas, our joy is to curate these incredible pieces that speak to us, and to pass them along to their new owners to be enjoyed and cherished for many years to come; both continuing to add to the story of the rug, and to the story of the new owners.
