Pile: Low pile with age-related wear and patina. Super beautiful character-rich piece, fringe and sides have been secured and tidied up - ready for the floor or wall!
About: TALK ABOUT SUBLIMINAL MESSAGES... The subtle arrows woven up, pointing to the Divine, Source, and the Heavens as arriving there was always the goal here on Earth for these mystical weavers. Of all the Caucasian pieces you've seen, where have you ever seen another like this? Animal and Human figures, the Color Palette is so Raw and Rugged meets Earthy with warmth and coolness - just an all over SPECTACLE for the eyes and soul. Deep walnut/espresso ground, delightful bone marrow linen-beige hue, and of course the illusive muted sage and blue-green dyes that are so sought after. This piece is just next level - well balanced and one of my favorite elements is, of course, that it is asymmetrical and directional making it super niche - so whomever ends up with this piece has the spot for it that was meant to be - this makes me VERY happy. If you want my grandpa to sew loops on the back to hang, let me know.
p.s. YES, there's an animal with his wee-wee woven in, see pics - either the weaver had a sense of humor or she was just weaving it like it is! Either way, CHEF'S KISS INCREDIBLE DETAIL!

Our rugs are woven by nomads in the villages and remote mountainous regions of the major rug weaving districts across the world. All of our rugs are genuinely old and one-of-a-kind. Like anything old and unique, they are filled with character, soul, and story. The story of a rug is something we think about a lot; who was the weaver(s)? Did they weave it for personal use, commerce, to gift, or trade? Who was the second owner, and the third!? Sometimes the little motifs and symbols in rugs can help tell the story, but we will never truly know - there's something beautiful about that. Alas, our joy is to curate these incredible pieces that speak to us, and to pass them along to their new owners to be enjoyed and cherished for many years to come; both continuing to add to the story of the rug, and to the story of the new owners.
