Age: Antique, C. 1930's or so

Pile: Low/Medium pile with age-related wear and patina. Lovely piece with desirable consistent wear, one or two spots we will be restoring but nothing noteworthy. You or your clients will LOVE this piece.

Insane soft greens, pale blues, dusty rusty terracotta, denim, soft gold, variations of earthy sand and khaki hues etc.  Oversized and PERFECT for a larger space that needs some coverage whether it be tall cielings that needs an anchor below, or a vast and expansive room or open concept space that really calls for larger furnishings - this rug will be the conversation piece, OR the quiet but signficant layer the space is calling for - it just depends what YOU do with it and how you use it.  Super versatile all-over design, this is why I think it'll either go to a designer for a client, or a savvy client with a knack for design!

Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.

Like anything old and unique, they are filled with character, soul, and story. The story of a rug is something we think about a lot; who was the weaver(s)? Did they weave it for personal use, commerce, to gift, or trade? Who was the second owner, and the third!? Sometimes the little motifs and symbols in rugs can help tell the story, but we will never truly know - there's something beautiful about that. Alas, our joy is to curate these incredible pieces that speak to us, and to pass them along to their new owners to be enjoyed and cherished for many years to come; both continuing to add to the story of the rug, and to the story of the new owners.
