About this rug: This piece reminds me my time seeing the gorgeous spans of the various blues of the ocean and where it meets the dusty and powdered orange, tangerine, terracotta, and rusty clays from the magical sunsets of Malibu. Such a serene and calming sliver of life; right on the water, surrounded by natural rock and cliffs that give you the most stunning views - this piece takes me to those moments hiking in the mornings and seeing the sunsets softening into the water blues. The large geometric and tribal motifs in this piece remind me of the rocky cliffs around the area, the softer beige act as the beautiful transitions as the sand disappears into the water, the anchors of deep greens in the corner spandrels tie in the trees in the area, the dark indigo and soft wheat colors act as the moon in the midnight sky, and the over-all feel of this piece just seems to be a calming yet energizing piece. Electrifying yet peaceful; somehow these weavers find a way to create this distinct contrast for our eyes and hearts to enjoy.
