Pile: Wonderful Plush Pile with Soft and High-Quality wool.  Absolute stunner in terms of condition - there's some age-related wear and patina here and there, but all things considered, this is in EXCELLENT condition.  

About: Well, WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN?! This size is staggering, the colors are Divine, and the Pattern is the Perfect Balance between Sophisticated Old-World Beauty meets Rhythmic Nomadic Heartbeat.   Truly an ASTONISHING work of Art. If you look too closely, you WILL get Hypnotized, and I can't take responsibility for that!! But in all seriousness, this piece belongs somewhere Epic whether it be with Epic peoeple, or in an Epic Space - I can see it going to a large Cabin, mountian home, farmhouse with vaulted ceilings, huge modern space, big great room, oversized living room, hotel lobby, commercial foyer, conference room, large seating area, an VERY large bedroom with King bed, and/or of course a huge Dining Room for people that LOVE to entertian so the leaf of the table is always in!  All I can say is, if you have room for a piece like this, you need a rug that can bear the responsibility of anchoring the room, being capable of handling many different types of materials, colors, textures, lighting etc - this piece is up for that task. It can and WILL ground the space and allow the rest of the room to breathe easy and do what it needs to do. I've sold a couple of these very large oversized pieces to designers that have NBA or NFL clients because larger people typically buy huge furniture and with huge furniture you need a MASSIVE RUG - one that's beautiful, carries a story, and can bring a room to life as much as it can tie it together - this is that piece. 

This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available.  

Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.
