About: Iconic Mountain piece from the Northwest of the greatest rug weaving country in the world. Patina filled yet sturdy for decades more of use - these pieces always are woven with strong wool from happy sheep, hence why they last forever. A wonderful color palette with that incredible sky blue in the medallion flower, flanked with handsome reds, soft antique beige and eggshell white, camel, greens, and teals, and an incredible softer rusty-berry WATERMELON-ish field color throughout. Amazing jagged leaf motifs with apricot and sky blue, CRAZY! Such interest in this piece when you look at it - there are so many subtle nuances that you will see each time you look at it. Super chunky border with lovely playful designs and contrast of shapes and lines - all things to keep those eyes glued! This rug has a great genuine age-related patina speaking to its character but nothing to worry about - we can reinforce whatever needs to be tidied up if need be. If you want the fringe ends to be secured by my grandfather, we will just charge $145 per side instead of 200-250 which is what we normally charge - he does it all by hand! The size is a unique in-between and over-sized European size which is perfect for larger dining rooms that you will entertain a lot, or larger living room/den and even bedroom. A really remarkable piece for many spaces and decors as it works like charm with leathers, metals, and other fabrics and materials. The rug itself has some minor "yellowing' in 2 small spots that aren't too noticeable and this is known to happen with some of these Northwest pieces, but all in all we can try and lighten it up a bit but it's nothing crazy - I only mention it because I always try and overcommunicate little nuances like this. The piece itself is so filled with gorgeous colors and motifs that it's not the first thing you'll see, let's put it that way!
